First Baseball Game

So Doogie and Jayde had their first game of the season this weekend (Saturday to be exact!) I think they did really well for their first game (much better than I thought they were going too!) I think everyone on the whole team atleast got one hit. Doogie struck out his first time up, but then got 3 hits afterwards and then Jayde got two. Jayde even fielded a couple of balls that were hit at her, she gets right in front of them too like I showed her (kid has no fear!) Now if we could get Doogie to realize that turning away from the ball is going to hurt alot more than getting in front of it and knocking it down with your mitt! It will come though...they've already come so far. It will be fun watching their progress! I think I got some great pictures of all the kids playing Saturday. Doug and I talked about me being the team photographer, think we are going to try and burn a CD of all the pictures for all the families (or we've put them up on snapfish to share them that way as well) I was thinking about making some sort of slide show at the end of the season to give to them all. Maybe people will like my pictures so much that they will think about using me for other photo shoots (besides baseball!) I was trying to shoot the pictures through the fence so it made it a little interesting (that and keeping an eye on three little kids!) Next time Doug said I can just come on the field and shoot from the sidelines so I should be able to get alot more shots that way. Oh and there are a couple of pictures of Jaxon sittng so cute in the bleachers!

A question from a 4 year old.

A couple days ago Ryann asked Doug a very important question. She asked him "Am I supposed to have Diabetes?" Doug had the perfect answer for her, he responded "You are exactly the way you are supposed to be."

Princess CJ???

So as I was putting all the groceries away that Doug was kind of enough to go to the store and get for me, out of the corner of my eye I saw CJ and a flash of pink? So I turned around to be greeted by Princess CJ! Ryann had dressed him up in a couple of her things! Of course by the time I pulled my camera out, he had enough of being a princess and wanted it off. If you look closely you can see the tears in his eyes and soon after the picture was taken he was tugging it all off! Sorry the picture isn't the greatest, I had to snap quickly and didn't want to risk moving him to a different spot/location because he was already tired of being a princess anyways! Oh and ignore the very dirty door, between 5 kids and a dog it doesn't stay clean for very long. In fact I had just cleaned it not to long ago and then Ryann and Jaxon decided to clean it for me again with the dog's water!

Rainy Day Pictures...

Here's a few more pictures I took on Thursday. These ones were taken later in the afternoon, we were watching Doogie and Jayde's baseball practice...in the rain! It would rain hard for a little bit, than stop, than start back up again...and after 45 minutes or so of it doing that Doug decided to just go ahead and call practice. And yes, I know that CJ is wearing a girly raincoat! It used to be Ryann's and it was the only one I could find that would fit him...though I know I have another boy raincoat around here somewhere, probably still boxed up somewhere!

Spring Break

Well this certainly hasn't been the greatest Spring Break. No, don't get me wrong it wasn't the kids (though they all had their moments) it is the weather! This whole week, it has been windy, rainy and cool. So it made getting outside and doing things a bit tougher. Though we did do some things, Monday I tried to do a photo shoot that didn't work out to well because of the wind. Tuesday we got to see a baby zebra and kangaroo, still need to go back and actually look for plants next time (and of course see the babies again...I'll take my camera next time!) Wednesday we hung at home, and today we tried to go over to the duck pond...and while the weather seemed to be nice at home when we got to the pond the wind had picked up and it was a bit chilly. Afterwards, we stopped down at the river again and I attempted another photo shoot. I still am not super pleased with the photos I got, but the one good thing about the models being your own children is that you can try, try, try again! So here are a few pictures of the kids at the duck pond and you can check out my photography blog to see some of the group pictures I got of them down by the river.
