February is here!!

That means this little munchkin can come at any time now! There wasn't too much change at my last appointment...maybe a 1/2 cm which puts me up to 4 1/2 cm dialated. He did tell me to take it easy for another week just to be on the safe side (they want to make sure her lungs are fully developed). So I'm not supposed to be doing anything that could cause me to go into labor. I go in again on Thursday for another check-up and we'll see what the little stinker is up to and if I'm moving along at all.

Looking forward to my birthday present (a little early) arriving hopefully today (that's what UPS says anyways!) Doug ordered me a new lens for my camera and I can't wait to try it out and play around with it!

Anyways, nothing much happening for now...just waiting....

Cheer Clinic

Okay, here are the pictures of the girls with "their" cheerleader from the RHS Cheer Clinic last monday. I didn't take any pictures of them dancing last night, but Doug got it on the video camera. I will have to see if there is any way he can upload the video onto the computer.... The girls had alot of fun dancing though and it was really cute. They definitely weren't shy about getting in front of people and performing!

Some baby news...

Okay, I know I promised some pictures and I promise I will get around to that soon! But I just thought I would give everyone the latest update on the Crowe Clan.

Kids are doing great! Doogie is enjoying basketball and cubscouts. He has his cubscout derby race tomorrow and he's very excited about racing his car!

Jayde and Ryann went to a cheerleading camp on Monday (the coach took a couple pictures of the girls with "their" cheerleader and I will try to post those soon. They had a blast doing it and they still go around doing the cheers they learn (with their little brothers now joining in! LOL!) Tomorrow they have a dance camp and then they will perform the routine they learned at the high school basketball games half time tomorrow night! So I can't wait to see it!

Jaxon and CJ are busy guys. Lately it's been like wrestle mania between them two! They love to wrestle eachother. I've been having to seperate them alot because I'm afraid they are going to hurt eachother! CJ is doing awesome on the potty, I think we can safely say he is officially potty trained! YEAH! Only took him two weeks, he caught on really fast!

I had my doctor appointment today and the baby is doing good. I am 4cm dialated and 70% effaced already (I am 35 weeks and 5 days along right now). It sounds like if I don't end up going into labor on my own before 38-39 weeks that they will induce me since I'm considered high risk (because of the antibody E situation). So as of now I get to have a stress test and ultrasound done every week until I deliver. The stress test is basically they put a couple monitors on my stomach (one for the heartbeat and another one to catch any contractions I have if any) and then I have a little buzzer type thing that I push whenever I feel the baby move. Pretty simple and I get to relax in a nice comfy chair as I do it! Today we were laughing because every time she would get the monitor in place for the heartbeat and then try to get the belt in place to keep the monitor there the baby would move and she would have to start all over again! I think it took her about 10 minutes to finally get it on! So anyways, the big question is...will Cassie come on her own or will she wait until I get induced? I have a baby pool set up so if you would like to enter some guesses go to: http://expectnet.com/game.php The game name is TheSixthCrowe (and you have to type it in exactly like that...no spaces). So happy guessing everyone! :)

Happy New Year!

I see I'm a little behind on my blogging once again! I keep meaning to blog, but something (or I guess someone or someones) have distracted me from my goal! So let's see if I can catch everyone up on what has been happening with the Crowe family.

We had a nice Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve over at my parents house for dinner and the kids opened up some presents over there. Then we stayed home for Christmas and my parents came over later to enjoy some raclette with us and of course play some Mario Kart on the Wii! I tell you that game is very addictive! It was fun watching the kids open their presents up, Christmas just seems to mean so much more when you get to share it with little ones!

Jaxon turned the big 4 on New Year's Eve. We just hanged out at home for his birthday since that was the day we got hit with the big snow storm and the roads were a mess. So on New Years Day we went to Red Robin with both sets of Grandparents to celebrate. He got all shy when the waiters/waitresses sang happy birthday to him, it was pretty cute! He had a good birthday though and loved his presents (which all seemed to have something to do with cars/trucks!)

To start off the new year, we decided to work on getting Mr. CJ potty trained. I have to say that he is doing really well with it (knock on wood). I think we might actually have the peeing down, he really hasn't had too many of those types of accidents since the first couple days or so that we started. Now the pooping on the other hand isn't going quite as well, but I'm hoping that it will all click into place for him soon. Good thing he only does #2 once day!! I even sent him in his underwear to school today. I had thought about putting some pull-ups on him, but decided that he has been doing such a great job at using the potty that we would give it a shot (and he stayed dry at school and didn't have an accident)!

On the baby front everything is looking good! Hard to believe it's only a month or so away! We rearranged the kids room over the holidays to make room for everyone. Ryann get's to bunk in the same room as the baby, so she's pretty excited about that. My last doctor's appointment was on New Year's Eve and she was sounding nice and healthy! At my last ultrasound she was measuring/weighing about 2 weeks ahead of schedule. Doug thinks she's going to make her appearance at the beginning of February. So we'll see what happens! I did finally get around to setting up a baby pool since a few people have asked me about it. So if your interested in putting in a guess just follow this link: http://www.expectnet.com/games/TheSixthCrowe

So anyways, that's pretty much all that's been happening over here! I need to upload the pictures from my camera to the computer and go through them all so I can post some more recent pictures here. I will try to get to that soon! We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year. Hope this year brings everyone lots of joy and happiness!

Another trip to the ER

Just trying to get our yearly quota in for ER visits... This weekend Doug spent some time in the ER with Jaxon. On Friday morning he started coughing at school and by that afternoon he wasn't feeling very good. He started having problems with his breathing and even after a breathing treatment he was still having some problems (a breathing treatment should atleast last him 4 hours and after 2 hours he was struggling again). So Doug took him down to the ER after dinner, at first he was diagnosed with pnemonia (can I just say I haven't been very impressed with our ER doctors...) So they were finally admitted up into the Peds unit around 9:00 that night where he got to see the same doctor that he had seen the last couple times he was admitted for breathing problems. The Peds doctor looked at his x-rays and said that it wasn't pnemonia but that we have now been officially diagnosed with asthma. So Jaxon (and Doug) spent the night at the hospital and were finally released Saturday afternoon. Jaxon is doing lots better. He has two different meds in his inhalers and he's also on a couple different antibiotics right now. The doctor wrote out an asthma action plan for Jaxon and we will follow up with our regular doctor next week. Though I hate the fact that he has astma, atleast we know have an official diagnoses of what's been going on with him. This way the next time we have to go to the ER, we can tell them that he has asthma and they can start treating him right away instead of waiting around for them to figure out what is going on.

Otherwise though we are all doing fine. CJ is almost done with his medicine for his ear infection (that he got at Thanksgiving) he still has a bit of a snotty/runny nose though. Jaxon is doing fine now that he is on his medications. Doogie, Jayde and Ryann all seem to be staying healthy (knock on wood, I always seem to jinx us when I say that!)

My last doctor's appointment went well. Baby is looking and sounding good. My last blood test did say that I was borderline anemic, but they weren't really concerned about it at the moment. However, if my iron levels don't come up the next time I'm in then they will probably put me on iron supplements. I've never had a problem with being anemic before...I told Doug that this little one is really giving us a work out! I have also caught a darn cold, so I'm working on fighting that off as well.

Otherwise though, everyone is doing good. Jaxon and CJ ask me almost every day if it is time for baby Cassie to come out yet! Taking them to the doctor with me that one time really helped get them more into the whole baby thing! CJ and Jaxon still talk about how the got to "talk" to baby Cassie!

Decorating the Tree....

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Not only did we get to spend the day with family Doug and I got to celebrate our 10 year anniversary that day. We definitely have a lot to be thankful for. Then the following day Doug's sister and her family were able to make it down. The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins.

Everyone is doing good. CJ ended up getting an ear infection Thanksgiving night. We were able to get through the night (thanks to tylenol) and then in the morning I took him over to the ER to get checked out and get some medicine for him.

They are all growing like crazy! CJ is wearing 4T's, Jaxon is in 5T's, Ryann is wearing a 6 or 6x, Jayde wears a size 8 in pants and then a 10/12 in a shirt (she's long in the torso) and Doogie is wearing a size 10/12 in pants and a 10/12 in shirt though I think I might have to start going up to the next size for him soon.

The baby is looking good. I saw the specialist on Tuesday and then go in to see my regular OB today. She is weighing around 3lbs 1oz right now (according to the ultrasound) which puts her in the 62 percentile. So she is growing nicely and so far we have had no problems with the anitibody E. I get my blood drawn at least once a month to get a titer on it and so far the levels have been so low that they have to do special tests just to be able to see it.

Anyways, Doug put the tree up last night and the kids and I (mostly the kids) decorated it. They had a blast putting the decorations up on the tree and rediscovering all the oranaments that they had made over the years. It was a fun night. Doug even strung up some lights around the living room and in the kids' bedrooms! They thought it was really cool going to bed with their Christmas lights night light!

Hmmmm...what else has been happening? Oh yes, Jayde started girl scouts this week. So far she is really liking it. In a couple weeks they will get to go Christmas caroling at a retirement village and bring/share cookies with the residents. The next day Doogie and the cub scouts will do the same thing. This is all a very new experience for me as well as the kids since I never did girl scouts...so I'm learning things right along with Jayde. I think these are great programs for kids to get into and it really teaches them some wonderful values. Now I just need to get Ryann into her girl scout troup, but I haven't heard back from anyone yet about hers.

Anyways, I can't think of anything else that is super exciting. Basically we are just doing what we are usually doing and keeping busy! It's a little less hectic now that soccer is over, but we still stay busy with Doogie's cub scouts and now Jayde's girl scouts and next week Doogie will start playing basketball. Atleast it will be only one kid playing basketball and not three (atleast this year!) that will make things a bit easier. Jayde could of played as well, but she didn't seem to excited about the idea so we didn't sign her up...there's always next year!
