"The New Boots" It's official, CJ loves his new boots! His old boots are just a memory now in his mind, he has embraced the new monkey boots!

"The Boots"... These are definitely some well loved boots! CJ absolutely loves these boots, I got them for him only a few months or so ago and they are already worn out from his constant wearing of them. Today was the last straw for them. When I came to pick him up from preschool this afternoon they had finally had enough and tore all the way up the side. Guess it was a good thing I had just bought him a pair of brand new boots this very morning!

Day 27 of 365

My little baby is growing up! She only takes one bottle a day now (she's pretty much weaned herself off) and drinks great with a sippy cup. So well in fact that the boys have to be careful where they leave theirs or she'll take them! She is getting really close to walking too. She actually used her zebra walker this morning and was pushing it along and taking steps! Before she would just stand and hold on to it, but wouldn't move. Yep, she's definitely getting braver! She's walking all around the furniture now and when she's feeling really brave she'll let go and stand unassisted for around 10 seconds or so. One part of me loves watching her grow and reach new milestones but another part of me wants her to slow down and stay my little baby for a bit longer.

It's getting to the point when I need another set of hands to take pictures of Cassie! She is just go, go, go these days! She see's me with the camera and just starts to head right to me! She's such a little stinker, a really cute one!

Miss Ryann, what am I going to do with you? She can either make you laugh or drive you up the wall! She's an amazing kid though that's for sure.

A tangle of feet. What can I say, I love feet pictures! Jayde was holding Cassie in her lap and Cassie was wiggling and clapping and kicking her feet all over the place. She loves her big sister Jayde and Jayde loves her!

Doogie was so proud to not only win first place in his den for best design but to also win first place for his entire pack! The first picture below is of him recieving his gold medal for his den and I've also included a picture of his car below. It wasn't the fastest car this year (but then he wasn't going for that) but it sure was one of the coolest! They cut the wood down and then built it back up using legos and also included working lights and sound that plays Starwars! Way to go Doogie we are so proud of you!

"One sock on and one sock off, twiddle diddle dumpling my baby Cass!" She is an expert at ripping off her socks, I'm actually surprised that she still has one on!

Cassie was helping me out this morning by trying out one of my Valentine's Day set-ups. Now that she is moving it is alot harder to get her to stay in one place for me! The rose petals worked long enough for me to get this picture!

"Did you know the human head weighs 8lbs?" For some reason whenever I spike Jaxon's hair that line from Jerry Maguire runs through my head! He really reminds me of the little boy from that movie, all the way from his spiked hair to his cute little glasses!

My little ballerina! She was trying on the Valentine Tutu that I made for her and to also use in my photo shoots. She was cracking me up because she kept squatting and then standing like she was doing a plie in ballet!

Chicken nuggets....a definite staple in our household! I love CJ's little chunky fingers, the kid just melts me!

Day 16 of 365

My sweet little girl, even when she is feeling bad she still tries to give me one of her sweet smiles. We had to take Cassie to the ER this afternoon. Around 3:00am this morning she woke up with a high fever, I gave her some motrin and then put her into bed with me. At a little bit before 7:00 am I was woken up to Cassie shaking next to me, she was having a siezure. We held her until it passed and tried to cool her down with wet paper towels and gave her more motrin. Most of the morning was spent with me holding Cassie while she dozed off and on and giving her motrin when her last dose wore off. At around 11:30 or so she had another siezure. Doug called our doctor's office and they told us if she had another one or was just not looking good to go to the ER. So I gave Cassie to Doug and went to go get in the shower. Not too long after I had gotten in, Doug came in and said we need to go to the ER she just wasn't looking good. So I got out as quickly as I could, got dressed and we headed to the ER and they got her in pretty quickly. The doctor wanted to run some tests (urine, blood, x-ray, flu and rsv) on her to figure out why she was having such a high fever (when we got to the ER it was 102.9) since she wasn't having any cold or flu like symptoms and since her heart rate was so fast (about 200). Poor little thing dozed off and on through all the poking and prodding. She even slept through most of her x-rays which the lab tech said he had never seen before! Luckily a couple hours later her heart rate went down along with her fever and all of her test came back normal. So we now just need to alternate between tylenol and motrin to keep her fever down and get the fluids down her since she was a little bit dehydrated. Poor thing is still conked out from her ordeal. I took this picture sometime between her first and second siezure.

Giving some baby love! They all love and adore their baby sister. It's so nice that I can ask any one of them to keep an eye on her or entertain her for a few minutes so I can get something done!

See they do love eachother! ;) I admit they have their moments when they are trying to kill eachother, but underneath it all they do love eachother and are there when someone needs them!

Jayde has always been really good about doing her homework as soon as she got home from school. Now if only her siblings would follow her example!

I don't know if it was the memory of Jayde wearing this very same outfit or what, but I just had an urge to try and do something with Cassie's hair this morning! I remember when Jayde wore this outfit and I had fixed her hair very similar to this, though I think she had two little piggie tails and not one! Cassie however isn't used to me messing around with her hair as much as Jayde was (Jayde being my first girl and all) so she spent most of the time wiggling all over the bathroom counter trying to get into everything that she could, so I had to work fast!

Day 10 of 365

It was getting towards the end of the day and I realized I hadn't taken any pictures yet! I hadn't been home all day and I had just gotten home with the kids and was looking around trying to figure out what to whip them up for dinner. Luckily the kids were doing a good job entertaining themselves and I realized that this was the perfect oportunity for a picture! So this is Jayde playing operation at the kitchen table while she is waiting for dinner to get ready. I love the concentration as she worked on pulling each piece out without the buzzer going off. If her hand wasn't in the way you would also see that the tip of her tongue is sticking out of her mouth!

Day 9 of 365

" You've got a friend in me." What a true statement of the two. Though they have their days where they fight like cats and dogs, they do really love eachother and are there for eachother when needed (or even not needed! LOL!) The pulled out their halloween costumes that Grammy had made them and since I didn't get any good shots of them at Halloween I decided now would be a great time for an informal photoshoot! I really love how this one turned out!

What a beautiful winter day! The dark gloomy clouds finally went away and we saw the sun again! Unfortunately I don't think it is going to last since I believe the rain will be back for tomorrow. But atleast we got a short reprieve from the gloominess! Ryann and Doogie took advantage of the beautiful weather this afternoon to take a ride around the loop on their scooters. Now that the girls each have their own scooters (Doogie had gotten one for his birthday) they've been having alot of fun going on scooter rides with eachother!

This boy has the longest lashes, I'm totally jealous of them! Why do they waste the long lashes on the boys who don't know how to appreciate them? I have a feeling he is going to be a lady killer when he grows up, with the sense of humor he has and of course his good looks he is going to have the girls swooning!

Day 6 of 365

These two are as thick as thieves! They are either fighting like cats and dogs or thinking up some mischief. They are definitely eachother's wingman! I have to laugh that even when they are giving eachother affection CJ still looks like he is getting ready to deck Jaxon! They are just a pair of rough and tumble little boys!

Day 5 of 365

Lego, legos and legos! It's all about the legos with this kid. This lego car was one of Jaxon's birthday presents and being the great big brother Doogie is, he helped put it together for him. Jaxon and Doogie have gotten really close lately and I think their love for legos has helped bring them there.

Day 4 of 365

Cassie got a cool zebra walker for Christmas. When she is done with the walker it turns into a ride on and when she is done with the ride on it turns into a scooter! This morning Cassie pulled herself up onto the walker, but after that she wasn't too sure what to do with it! She'll walk when you hold on to her hands, but she just froze when she was hanging onto the zebra! I don't think she thought it was a stable enough base for her since it was moving! You can tell by her expression that she is a little concerned about this situation she got herself into!

Really don't understand how they can sit that close to the tv and be comfortable! I would get a crick in my neck for sure! For some reason though this seems to be their viewing position of choice.

Day 2 of 365!

Cassie has started to pull herself up to a standing position! She thinks she is pretty hot stuff! She also stood unassisted for about 10 seconds this evening! Wonder if this means she'll be walking soon?! Doogie, Jayde and Ryann all walked at 11 months and Cassie isn't too far from that! Jaxon and CJ waited until after they were one, though Jaxon would of been earlier but he just liked running people over too much with his walker and that goes the same for CJ!

My 365 Resolution!

One of my New Year resolutions was to hopefully complete the 365 day challenge (one photo a day for a whole year). I tried to do this back in 2009 but was only able to complete one month. So I'm hoping to rise up to the challenge this year. Which means I should be blogging a whole lot more, even if it's just to show a picture! This picture is of Cassie enjoying her dinner! She loves being able to eat "real" food and not that baby stuff! She is a great eater and definitely enjoys her meals!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! Here are the kids at 9:00 (hey, it's midnight on the East Coast!) ringing in the New Year! I wanted to get a picture of all of them early since I knew not all of them would make it till midnight! Surprisingly 4 out of 6 of my children made it till midnight to ring in the New Year with us. CJ almost made it (he lasted until 11:15) and he probably would of made it if he had been downstairs with the rest of them playing the wii instead of upstairs snuggling with me on the couch and watching a movie! I think that was the only reason that Jaxon made it that late! Not only did we ring the New Year in but we also celebrated Jaxon's 5th birthday! Still can't believe he is 5 and will be starting kindergarten next year! He wanted pizza and ice cream for dinner so we all went to Round Table for dinner and than finished it off over at Baskin Robbins for desert!
