Day 123 of 365
I got to hang out with Doogie's class this morning on a field trip to Columbia Park for the Salmon Summit. The kids had been raising salmon in their classroom since January and today they got to release the fish into the Columbia River along with other schools in the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas. They each got to release one fish. We also got to go around to different booths along the park and learn about lots of different things. We were lucky to be able to see the Birds of Prey Booth since they rotate the schools around differently every year. We got to get up close to alot of wild owls, falcons and hawks. The most popular bird was of course the Bald Eagle. Her name is Patriot and though it looks like she is posing for me in this picture she was really just working on soaking up that nice sunshine!
