This child will never cease to amaze me. She checks her blood sugar and gets her shots like it is no big deal. I guess doing it for over 3 years though has that affect on you. One of my biggest wishes for her is that they find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes in her lifetime. No more pokes and no more shots!

Contemplative.... He always has questions to ask, he likes learning about what makes something tick. Sometimes it is tough keeping up with all of his questions and I admit I will tell him to ask his Dad or look it up on the computer!

Jaxon had his last indoor soccer game this weekend! He finally got into it more and was really going after the ball! Guess our morning practice session helped out (Doug, Doogie, Jayde and Ryann were helping him with his soccer skills)! He was so excited at the end of the game when they handed out the trophies! This will be his second one and he already can't wait to get another!

Day 55 of 365

CJ's famous pouty face. He didn't want me to take his picture anymore and was telling me he was done! He is finally starting to feel better and I'm hoping they will all go to school tomorrow. Cassie on the otherhand seems to have gotten nailed again and is looking pretty miserable and running a fever off and on. We are keeping a close eye on it though and trying to keep it under control (don't want to have anymore seizures)!

Day 54 of 365

It has been a stay in your PJ's type of day. Cassie is still fighting something off and Doug and I were up last night with Jaxon and CJ trying to help them clean out their goopy eyes enough that they could actually open them. CJ was also running a fever for most of the night, though thankfully it hasn't had one today. I think Jaxon and Jayde's ears are on the mend and hopefully this eye gunk will follow and nobody else will get it. I sent the oldest three to school today but kept the boys home from preschool so we spent most of the day just lounging around and watching movies. Cassie really enjoys playing on her new "motorcycle" that Grandma and Grandpa got her for her birthday. She will get on it (with some help) and rock it back and forth and she's also gotten pretty good at getting off all by herself. My baby is turning into a toddler!

Poor Jaxon hasn't been feeling so good these past couple days (think he might have an ear infection). But he was looking so cute wearing his goofy hat that "More Papa" let him have on one of our trips to Seattle to visit that I had to get a picture of him. So we are just hanging out until our doctor's appointment this afternoon, along with Jayde who we think has one as well. Cassie and CJ aren't feeling all that great either, they have some goopy eye stuff going on but the nurse said to just keep an eye on it and if there eye starts looking red or it doesn't start getting better than to bring them in. Why do kids always have to get sick on the weekend? It was a very long weekend....

Day 52 of 365

The weather was so beautiful this weekend that even though some of the kids were feeling crummy we decided to go out for a bit and enjoy it (and we figured the fresh air would do the kids some good). We took a walk down by the river. The kids had fun throwing rocks in the water and then playing for a bit on the playground before heading home. On the way back to the car CJ and I saw a Bald Eagle flying over the water (unfortunately my camera was with Doug in the stoller). It was really neat to see, the poor Bald Eagle was getting chased off by all the seagulls though so he didn't stick around for very long.

For some reason we were talking about belly buttons today and I told the kids that CJ had an "outie". So of course CJ had to show off his belly button for everyone!

Please ignore my extremely dirty door (though this is one of the reason's it is so dirty!) Ryann loves to play this game with Cassie and Cassie just thinks it's the funniest thing! Ryann will go on the other side of the door and put her hands up to the glass and make funny faces at Cassie. Then Cassie will put her hands up on the glass as well and giggle like crazy!

This isn't just a normal little foot, this is a walking foot! That's right Miss Cassie has been starting to take a few unassisted steps this week! Watch out world!

The girls went out and did a little cookie selling yesterday. Let me know if you would like to buy some cookies, I have two little girls who would love to sell you some! They make great gifts, they freeze well and if you really don't want any in your house you can always donate the boxes to our brave troops!

In other news Cassie had her ONE year check up as well today and she is looking great! She is 23lbs 1oz and 29 inches long! She is healthy and growing right on track!

Cassie was really enjoying her Valentine's Day donut this morning! I usually don't give her that many sweets, but I figured since today was Valentine's Day we would go and grab a donut! Cassie got one with white frosting and pink and yellow sprinkles! She loved it!

Happy Birthday Little Bug! I can't believe you are one already, this first year has just flown by! Cassie loved opening up her presents, after she realized that we were letting her rip up paper she was all in! We love you Cass and we are so glad that we were blessed with you!

Cassie loves this little rocking chair! My mom had pulled it out of her garage for me to use as a photography prop, but Cassie discovered it recently and she just loves to sit in it and watch cartoons or just to sit there with a snack and her sippy cup.

Poor Jaxon has been having a rough time of it the past couple days, we've been pulling some long nights. Poor guy was so tuckered out this evening that he fell asleep while having one of his breathing treatments.

The dreaded homework time. I wish it wasn't such a battle to get done. It's amazing how different each kid is. Jayde always jumps in and gets it done right away and Doogie and Ryann need a lot more "encouragement". It will be interesting to see what Jaxon, CJ and Cassie do when it comes to homework!

Okay, so I like hands too! Like eyes they can tell you alot about a person! For instance he doesn't chew on his fingernails (a trait he gets from his father not me, I'm horrible at leaving my nails alone).

I love this little munchkin to pieces! Even when she isn't feeling good (she has a double ear infection and bronchiolitis) she still has a smile to give. What an absolute sweetheart we've been blessed with. Can't belive she'll be turning one this month!
